The winners of the Sea Harvest Heroes of the Sea 2017 CEO Awards were announced at an event this week, which was attended by the CEO, Felix Ratheb; Sea Harvest Board Chairman and founding member of Brimstone Investment Corporation, Fred Robertson; members of the company’s leadership team and a few staff. The Heroes of the Sea programme is used by the company to recognise and reward employees who have either shown exceptional performance and commitment to the business or who, through their behaviour, have been an example of the Sea Harvest “corporate anchors”, which is the set of values that the organisation promotes amongst its employees. First prize winner was Trevor Petersen, a member of the Sea Harvest firefighting team who, together with his son, rescued his neighbour when his house caught alight; second prize winner was Margaret January for her dedication and commitment to the business; and 3rd prize went to the crew of the freezer trawler, the Harvest Veronica, for an excellent performance.
