Sea Harvest completes Ladismith Cheese Disposal

11 May 2026

Press Release –  08 May 2026

Sea Harvest Group Limited (“Sea Harvest”) today confirmed that the disposal of its value-added dairy business, Ladismith Cheese Company Proprietary Limited (“Ladismith Cheese”), to Fairfield Dairy Proprietary Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Woodlands Dairy Group Limited, has become unconditional and closed.

The disposal forms part of Sea Harvest’s strategic objectives presented to shareholders in early 2025, including deleveraging the balance sheet through the disposal of non-fishing assets and the use of proceeds to reduce long-term debt in its South African operation.

“This disposal allows us to simplify our portfolio and concentrate on our core seafood operations” said Felix Ratheb, Sea Harvest Group CEO. Ratheb further added, “We would like to thank the management team and staff at Ladismith Cheese for their hard work and dedication over the past six years, and we wish them the best of luck on their new journey within the Woodlands Dairy Group”
