VERTICALLY INTEGRATED SEAFOOD BUSINESS

The Group harvests wild-caught seafood off the coasts of South Africa and Australia and processes the catch into a variety of frozen premium seafood products, which are marketed to more than 30 countries around the world. Its operations span the full value chain and include key value-added support services, such as quality control, logistics and supply chain management, to enable economies of scale.

VALUE-ADD DAIRY BUSINESS

Ladismith Cheese and Mooivallei Suiwel, are value-added dairy processing companies that source and process milk into a variety of products, such as gouda, cheddar, mozzarella and edam cheese, as well as various types of butter, spreads and powders. These products are marketed, sold and distributed in both retail and bulk formats to South African retail, foodservice and food producer markets.

DIVERSIFIED AQUACULTURE BUSINESS

Sea Harvest Aquaculture farms abalone and oysters that it markets locally and internationally. Sea Harvest Aquaculture’s operations are spread across southern Africa and harness the skills and expertise of the region’s foremost aquaculturists. This enables it to supply its customers with the freshest and highest quality farmed seafood products.

CONVENIENCE FOODS BUSINESS

Sea Harvest, through its majority share in BM Foods Group, offers premium convenience food products with a wide range of chilled and prepared product categories, such as dips, patés, olives, soups, dairy and baked goods, which include pies, pizzas and pastries. BM Foods Group’s products have a wide appeal to both the retail and foodservice markets in Southern Africa.
